Living in Lone Mountain
Lone Mountain is a scenic neighborhood located in northwest Las Vegas, named for the iconic standalone peak that sits just west of Summerlin. Nestled at the base of this natural landmark, the area features over 1,000 acres of residential land, open space, and greenbelt trails. The neighborhood includes one main residential area with several smaller enclaves, most notably The Estates at Lone Mountain, a 60-acre gated custom home development where acreage parcels and luxury mini-estates give way to spacious, high-end living.
Housing in Lone Mountain is primarily made up of single-family detached homes, ranging from traditional suburban lots to custom-designed estates. Expect home sizes spanning from around 1,300 sq. ft. starter houses up to upscale properties exceeding 5,000 sq. ft. Many homes feature desert landscaping, large yards, energy-efficient design, and mountain or valley views. While townhomes and condos exist, they make up only a small portion of the housing stock, mostly built in infill or transitional areas.
Lone Mountain is also known for its parkland and outdoor access, including Lone Mountain Regional Park and equestrian trails across approximately 21–23 acres tied into the Clark County Parks system, plus hiking, biking, and even horseback trails around the mountain’s perimeter. This makes the community ideal for buyers wanting a more rural, peaceful lifestyle, while still being just minutes from retail, schools, and freeway access.
